Why Do You Receive The Passionists Mail?
The Passionists are a Catholic religious community of priests, brothers, and laity. St. Paul of the Cross (Paul Francis Daneo, born 1694 in Ovada, Italy) founded the Congregation of the Passion after papal approval in 1741. Four missionaries arrived in Pittsburgh in 1852. Holy Cross Province was established in 1906 with the first provincial office at Sacred Heart Monastery in Louisville, then Chicago. Today the province serves retreats, parishes, and justice work from Birmingham to California, with the office at 660 Busse Highway, Park Ridge, Illinois. The leftover mail is a fundraising or retreat appeal, not a Mass card you already asked for.
