We really value your privacy. We won’t do anything with your information that you don’t explicitly ask us to. It’s that simple.
When you create an account with PaperKarma®, your name, email and home (or business) addresses are collected. Your email is only used for signing in. It is not in any way shared with anyone.
Images that you upload are kept on our servers. They are used to identify the publication/mail/etc. The images are associated with your account and are shared with the original sender to help unsubscribe you.
We request you add a phone number because certain mailers require it for unsubscribing. It is optional and rarely used.
You may choose to link your Facebook or Twitter account for easy sign-in or for posting your success stories – at your discretion, of course.
We may also ask for demographic information, such as birthday or gender. These are fully controlled by you, and will not be shared.
Your Email and Home/Business addresses are kept on our servers which reside on Amazon’s EC2 cloud service. These are limited access data-centers. Your data are secured via Firewall and all communication goes through a SSL connection.
PaperKarma® does not sell, trade, or rent your information to third parties. We only share your information for the purposes of fulfilling your request to unsubscribe with the original sender (who generally has your information already). The shared information includes the uploaded image, your name, and your physical address. Certain companies require a phone number (rare).
You can modify the name and the address associated with your account at any time via the app.
Please contact email@example.com for account deletion.
To ensure compliance with Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998, PaperKarma® does not knowingly maintain information provided by children under the age of 13.
