Current opt-out methods for Aldi mail
-
Contact Us
Go to ALDI Contact. Put the full name and street address as printed on the circular and ask to stop promotional postal mail.
-
PaperKarma app
Photograph the Aldi circular. PaperKarma files the opt-out for you.
Once you opt out of this sender, you can opt out of 100,000+ other mailers in the same app.
-
Phone
Call Aldi at +1-630-879-8100. Ask them to stop circulars and other promotional mail for the name and address on the mailer.
A phone request can take 5 to 10 minutes or longer, depending on the phone tree, hold time, and whether they offer a callback.
What to Expect After Opting Out
- Allow 8 to 12 weeks. Print runs are scheduled in advance. A circular already labeled can still arrive.
- Receipts are separate. Stopping promotional mail does not stop a store receipt or an Instacart order notice.
- Sister banners stay separate. A Winn-Dixie circular is a separate request.
Why Do You Receive ALDI Mail?
ALDI is a U.S. discount grocer. The Albrecht family founded the world’s first discount grocery store in Germany in 1961. ALDI arrived in the United States in 1976 and still puts great quality food at the lowest possible prices first. They hand-select a short set of products instead of ten versions of the same item, and they sell store brands such as Sundae Shoppe alongside weekly price drops. The leftover mail is a circular or weekly ad, not a receipt from a store trip.
You get that mail if you shopped an ALDI, signed up for the weekly ad, or landed on a list they mail. A later trip can put the address back on. The leftover circular is often a sale for something you already bought.
How to Prevent General Junk Mail Proactively
-
DMAchoice
DMAchoice is the Association of National Advertisers' mail preference service. An $8 registration asks about 1,100 participating national companies to suppress your address from prospect promotional mail for 10 years. It does not cover local mailers, charity appeals, companies you already buy from, or occupant / current-resident saturation mail. Allow 90 days or longer.
-
OptOutPrescreen
OptOutPrescreen is the official Consumer Credit Reporting Industry site. It lets you opt out of firm offers of credit and insurance for 5 years or permanently.
NOTE: OptOutPrescreen will not opt you out of Aldi mail. It only covers prescreened credit card and insurance offers.
-
PaperKarma
For local and regional mailers, coupon packs, charity donation requests, and the large share of junk mail that DMAchoice does not cover, the PaperKarma app has the largest U.S. registry, with over 100,000 mailers on file.
Your Data Privacy Rights (CCPA & Beyond)
A promotional opt-out stops Aldi marketing mail. It does not always stop the underlying address from being shared. If you live in a state with an active consumer privacy law (California’s CCPA and several others), you can request access to or deletion of your personal information, and you can opt out of sale, share, or targeted advertising.
Call +1-630-879-8100 and ask for a deletion or do-not-share request, and to opt out of circulars and other promotional mail.
Frequently asked questions
How long until Aldi mail stops?
Allow 8 to 12 weeks. Print runs are scheduled in advance. If a circular arrives during that window, it was likely already printed and labeled before your request was processed.
How do I stop Aldi mail for a previous resident?
Call Aldi at +1-630-879-8100 and include that person’s name and this address, or use the PaperKarma app to scan the mailer, mark the recipient as a previous resident, and submit the opt-out. Do not mark the person as deceased unless they are deceased.
Will Aldi mail stop if I move?
Not automatically. Marketing lists are tied to a specific name and address. A USPS forward can send a few more packets to the new address. Call again for the new address, or use the PaperKarma app there.
Stop junk mail from Aldi and everyone else.
Download the PaperKarma app free. Snap photos of unwanted mail: Aldi, catalogs, credit offers, charities, and more. We contact senders for you.
